Move - temporary or permanent?

I've moved my blog to the "MySite" on SharePoint 2007 for my school.  Why?  I wanted to see what that Blog editor could do assuming that someday my students will have access to it.  Also, I wanted to get used to setting and granting permissions, etc., etc..

So, if I can learn about a product for my students and use it myself at the same time, that works for me.  I'd leave the forwarding address, but I don't even understand it.  It's a "moss:" address which seems to be intranet based.   Well, nobody really ever read this anyway except me, but it's been fun while it lasted....

Perhaps I'll be back.

Exanview Dashboard, etc

PLATO right now - is PLE going to be different from PWLN?  I'm at a meeting about that, blah.

More importantly, though, I'm working with the good people at Edutek Midwest to trial the Examview Dashboard, and we're troubleshooting how the standards fit into all this - I always knew that data-tagging was going to become important.  I'll follow up.

Also, the kids in the tech group (new tech group) are looking for how professional learning communities come together and share knowledge and interests.  What is the ideal format?

I gotta run to the dentist, but at least it's a toe in the water.

Where did January go?

Okay,
So I have been a little more than busy this month, but it would have been interesting if I could have kept track of all the details of the past several weeks.  Now that I have a moment to breathe, I'd like to try to summarize what I've done and what's left to accomplish, but I'm behind on my schoolwork!  I also have a training to conduct from 1:30 - 3:00, so it's not like I'm done yet!  I'm sooooooo hungry because I thought we'd have breakfast at the tech meeting this morning and we didn't!  Before school meetings should have coffee and food!

Anyway, today it's the batch scanner presentation this afternoon.  This morning was a school-wide tech committee meeting, but it wasn't really school-wide because not that many people were there.  Covered TAC stuff for 2nd semester, found out report cards are still in process, and moved on to discuss scanners as well, but in the context of Examview more specifically.  Mark seems to be encouraging Examview, but the message that I'm receiving is that Examview was eliminated for consideration by the admin team as a potential district wide testing program because it lacked the powerful stats engine needed for such a task.   Apparently, there's a third party app that Examview dovetails with but I don't know much about it.  I was promised some trial access but I don't know what happened to that.  Should follow through.  Anyway, though, people are going to get very irritated if we encourage Examview and go with something else.

Speaking of Examview, I've got to get all the punctuation, capitalization, etc. stuff that I can into Examview so that my 2nd semester has a grammar/mechanics aspect.  Also, I want to get the JP vocabulary into some better form (and onto quia, too).  Building it a little piece at a time....

I'm going to move out and get some work graded, much as I'd love to download for a bit, so I'll hopefully get back to this soon.
